Also make sure you go in for a parrot that is in good shape. Ensure that its feathers are tightly glued to its body, the eyes should be bright and the general mood of the bird should not be gloomy. If the parrot is silent or asleep most of the times, it may be suffering from some infection. It is good you let the owner know about this. Remember to ask for a medical certificate to check on the health of the parrot.
When you pay for a parrot, make sure that you carry it home safely. Avoid carrying it in a cage if you are aware that it is already in a frightened state. Remember that it may struggle about in the cage and it may injure itself. Carry your parrot in a dark box.
